The Phi Beta Kappa Association of Kentuckiana will host a free showing of Gurgle: Pulling Water, an award-winning documentary by local filmmaker Richard Van Kleeck. The subject of the film is rowing and the life lessons it imparts.

Combining video footage, historical photos, and interviews with Tori Murden McClure, John Hale, and others, this 60-minute film documents both the history and current practice of rowing, at one time America's most popular spectator sport. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Van Kleeck and Dr. Jennifer Barker, Professor of English and Film Studies at Bellarmine University.

Free and open to the public. No registration is required. Parking for the event is free in the lot immediately adjacent to the UofL School of Music.
